About Andromeda Winds

The Andromeda Winds Consort formed at the University of Washington in 2002. Since its inception, the group has enjoyed a vast array of performing opportunities around the greater Seattle area. Often appearing on local recitals, they have also worked with the City of Seattle to provide music for visitors to the city hall as well as the local classical radio station, King FM, providing musical services for listener events. The Ensemble's repertoire covers not only the entire spectrum of the wind quintet literature, but also works for enlarged ensemble, i.e. the Sextets of Janácek and Reinicke. In the previous year, the group was also happy to perform Ewazen's Roaring Fork for the composer himself. The Andromeda Winds Consort received much of their personal training and group coaching from various members of the reknowned wind quintet, Soni Ventorum.

The group is happy to perform wedding music, which includes wedding ceremony music as well as wedding reception music, formal dinners, corporate parties, recitals, holiday concerts, and even educational concerts or clinics. Please see our booking page for more details.
